Brand New School Bus Donated to All India Pingalwara Charitable Society
A Brand New School Bus was donated to the schools at the All India Pingalwara Charitable Society by Amrit Vela Seva Sangat London UK. Pingalwara Society is the home of the underpriviledged and mentally challenged. Pingalwara is not an institution, it is a dynamic movement. The School Bus was presented to Dr Inderjit Kaur President of All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, by Lucky Dhillon OBE and Amrit Vela Sangat.
Education standard of government run schools is very low and the poor people cannot afford to send their children to private schools. Pingalwara is running five schools where free education is provided.


Langar Seva
October 2009, Amrit vela seva donated £17,541.73 on Tuesday 6th October 2009 at 15-40PM, at Sri Harmandir Sahib, (Golden Temple) Amritsar, on Guru Ram Das Ji's Gurupurb, The cheque was presented to the President Sardar Avtar Singh Makker, By Lucky Dhillon OBE.
This seva was donated for the langar ( Free Kitchen) to serve over an estimated two hundred thousand people on Thursday 8th October 2009, the langar was for 24 hours, The sangat (Men and Women who religiously meet at the Presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji) had come from all over India and the World to celebrate this Gurupurb ( Birth Anniversairy of Guru Ram Das ji) at Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), Amritsar. On the 8th October 2009 ladoos (Indian Sweets) was distributed to the sangat to celebrate this Gurupurb. A presentation was also held during this celebration where the President of SGPC Avtar Singh Makker Honoured Lucky Dhillon OBE for this Langar Seva.
Langar is the term used in the Sikh Faith for the free, vegetarian only food served in a Gurudwara. At the Langar, only vegetarian food is served to ensure that all people, regardless of their dietary restrictions, can eat as equals. Langar is open to all Religions, Sikhs and Non Sikhs alike.
The Sikh Langar or free kitchen was started by the first Sikh Guru, . It is designed to uphold the principle of equality between all people of the world regardless of religion, caste, colour, creed, age, gender or social status. In addition to the ideals of equality, the tradition of Langar expresses the ethics of sharing, community, inclusiveness and oneness of all humankind.

Donation of ambulance to Pingalwara by Amrit Vela Seva
On 16-06-2009, (Martyrdom Day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji) Amrit vela Seva Sangat had donated an AMBULANCE to All India Pingalwara Charitable Society. The dedication ceremony took place at Main Branch of Pingalwara near Bus Stand. The Programme included Kirtan Darbar from 0830-1030 hrs in the morning in Gurdwara Sahib and there after the keys of the ambulance was handed over to Singh Sahib Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji and Dr Inderjit Kaur President of all India Pingalwara Charitable society, by Lucky Dhillon OBE.
Pingalwara is a house for destitutes in Amritsar in northern Indian state of Punjab. Pingalwara was founded informally in year 1924 by a then 19 year old Ramji Das who later became famous as Bhagat Puran Singh. Pingalwara is officially registered as All India Pingalwara Charitable Society under the Act 1960, Reg No130. Since death of Bhagat Puran Singh in 1992, it is headed by Dr. Inderjit Kaur who is a physician by training and also runs a private maternity clinic in Punjab.
Currently Pingalwara has facilities for 1080 patients who are fed, housed and looked after thanks to generous support of various philanthropists. The unclaimed bodies of the deceased are donated to Government Medical College, Amritsar for research and teaching purposes. The main branch houses the Administrative Complex, A Female ward, Children's ward, Rehabilitation Centre, Printing Press, Dispensary, Medical Lab, Dental Centre and the Common Kitchen. Pingalwara also operates a free drug dispensary, a blood bank, a shelter for intellectually disabled children and a free primary school in the city of Amritsar. Poor and abandoned children raised by Pingalwara are helped to re-establish themselves in society at completion of their school education. An ambulance and a basic operation room is available for trauma care of accident victims.

On the 20th October 2008 on the 300th Anniversairy of the Gur Gaddi Divas of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Amrit Vela's recent donation was of a bus presented to the people of Nankana Sahib, birthplace of Sikh Founder Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Pakistan.

Amrit vela seva had recently donated a brand new Bose sound system at the Sri Harmandir Sahib, Darbar Sahib, Golden Temple, Amritsar. A cheque was presented to the Sgpc President Sardar Avtar Singh Makkar.

On the 300th anniversairy of the Gur Gaddi Divas celebrations in Sri Hazur Sahib, Sachkand, Nanded. Amrit Vela Seva had taken on the Seva to organise an aircraft to drop down different colours of flowers onto the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji throughout the whole nagar keertan procession which was held on the 29th October 2008.

On the 25th march 2007, Amrit Vela Seva donated 80 boilers to Gurudwara Sri Paonta Sahib by G. Singh. G. Singh and his Associate Sardar Vickram Pal Singh transported these 80 boilers costing more than R upees of four Lakhs, from Amritsar and presented to Managament Committee Gurdwara Sri Paonta Sahib, with the presence of Sardar Rattan Singh Vice-President, Manager S.Kulwant Singh, S.Jeet Singh Supervisor, Press Correspondent Daily Tribune and Daily Ajit, S.Harbax Singh, and a gathering of Sadh Sangat at Gurudwara Sri Paonta Sahib.

On 14th January 2006 Amrit Vela Seva presented a complete sound system (worth estimated at £2,000) and cheque for approximately £5,100 for the Gurdwara Shaheedan Singha Singhnian Lahore in Pakistan. This is the first new Gurdwara to be built in Pakistan since 1947.
In January and February 2006 Amrit Vela Seva undertook Kar Sewa for the Sachkand, windows and curtains for the Gurdwara Shaheedan Singha Singhnian Lahore in Pakistan. The total proceeds of this amounted to approximately of £11,100 which was handed over to Sardar Avtar Singh Sanghera at the Gurdwara Sri Singh Sabha in Cross Road, Coventry by Lucky Dhillon and members of the Amrit Vela Seva and Sadh Sangat on Sunday 19th March 2006.
